I see a gentle ebb and flow nestling deep beneath the surface of my work. This emanates from my ongoing fascination with prehistoric ingenuity and creativity. It’s my subliminal verse, an ode to the unbreakable connection that links pre/humans to the materials they live with.
Through the ancient medium of glass, I move on from the age-old axiom of Nature or Nurture, by using its unique properties to illustrate the invisible and present the question; What is Natural? Often leaving the viewer to ponder: Is this really how glass should behave?
Glass is a particularly intimate material in our lives. Its omnipresence leaves us wanting more. It provides the fibre optic backbone to our digital modernity, and as the need for connectivity increases, so too does our reliance and desire for this magical material: Glass.
