The Nautilus is known as a living fossil and has been on earth for an estimated five hundred million years, during that time it’s believed that they have barely evolved. Rarely seen by humans these creatures live in the deep seas only coming up to shallow waters at night. When worn this neckpiece is intended to imbue upon the wearer a sense of the strange beauty of the Nautilus, connecting the ancient and mysterious with contemporary and familiar worlds.
