It Never Rains...
handpinched stoneware clay, glaze, hand painted oxides
24 x 20 x 24cm
Using hand coiled and pinched clay, It Never Rains… makes permanent, transitory child hood memories of holidays inundated with rain. This sculpture depicts ominous clouds and an enclosed, protective dwelling.
In a time gripped by the ramifications of climate change, It Never Rains…. reminds us that the words ‘Of droughts and flooding rains’ will never ring truer nor more devastating.
