Terry Williams’ twenty-seven year art practice spans drawing, painting, print making, ceramics and soft sculpture – a medium now synonymous with his work. The detailed, pillow-like sculptures incorporate exaggerated and conspicuous stitching. Intensely physical and bulging in their construction, the works take many forms including people, insects, domestic appliances and alien spaceships. Williams does not consciously work within common traditions but has created an immersive and idiosyncratic process, ruminating on and storing ideas until they manifest into creations.
Terry is represented by Arts Project Australia.
