Photography is an integral part of communicating a craft practice. High quality images help communicate your brand, support your practice narrative and play an important part in not only marketing products, but also supporting successful grant applications.
As part of our commitment to developing Victorian makers, Craft Victoria is bringing together a team of experts to run an intimate photography workshop. In this session – limited to 15 participants – we will explore:
- Basic photography principles and composition rules
- Flat lay techniques
- Lightbox use
- iPhone tricks and hacks
Three professional representatives will work hands-on with a small number of participants.
Kristen Halkett - artist, designer, photographer and teacher - will cover photography basics and the rules of composition, while Craft’s crack retail queen Sarah Weston will provide iPhone tricks and hacks and the secrets to the perfect flat lay. In addition, Natalie Jeffcott, photographer and vintage stylist will take headshots of each participant for use on websites, press kits and social media.
Through the course of this session participants will gain understanding of basic editing techniques and what makes a great product photograph.
To top it all off you'll receive a delicious vegan lunch from Good Freakin Food.
