Craft Victoria x Radiant Pavilion 2018
Craft Victoria and Radiant Pavilion present: A casual conversation forum between makers, gallerists and curators about positive professional relationship building.
What are the expectations that makers should aspire to? How do you garner a positive reputation (both as a maker and gallery) as someone positive to work with? How do good collaborations happen? What are the benchmarks for common courtesy in the art and craft realm?
What other cultural understanding do we need to consider in the professional relationships that we build?
What does a good exhibition proposal look like? What should you do if you see a curator out socially? What should be in your “artist kit” as a maker?
How does this look in retail environments too?
Our goal is to promote conversation and dialogue between the different strata in our community and break down the us/them mentality. We would like this conversation to help build respect between makers, artists and the different types of galleries which support craft in Melbourne.
A light supper will be provided.
MEMBERS & RADIANT PAVILION FRIENDS $20
