Maker Headshot Day + Object Photography

  • Craft Victoria Watson Place Melbourne Australia (map)

A specially designed day for makers with some professional photographic takeaways.

We are bringing together a portrait photographer, a product photographer and a professional stylist to give you a crafted, personalised experience.  You’ll get a beautiful mini folio of photos of you and photos of your work which you can go on to exploit on your website, social media, press releases and the like!

Spend time with photographer Natalie Jeffcott and stylist Emily Deneys to take your headshot.  Then take your own craft objects over to Craft Victoria’s own Sarah Weston to have them styled and photographed.

The day includes feedback, a cheersquad and generous refreshments … as well as a beautiful opportunity to hang out with like minded makers.

WHO WILL BE LOOKING AFTER YOU:

Natalie Jeffcott is a professional freelance photographer. Having received her Bachelor of Arts in Photography from RMIT in 2001, and a Diploma of Visual Merchandising from RMIT TAFE, she currently provides her trademark imagery for Australian magazines including Frankie, Smith Journal and SPACES.  Natalie enjoys the variety of both natural location shots with other studio sets constructed with artificial lighting.  Natalie has worked with Craft Victoria in the past shooting maker headshots with spot-on results.

Emily Deneys is a personal stylist with a love of ethical Australian made clothing and second hand fashion, capitalising on her knack for op shopping.  Emily advocates for more sustainable looks and is dedicated to helping people dress with confidence and ultimately have fun, because clothing and fashion should be fun!  She joins the team for this headshot day to be your cheerleader and micro-styling champion.

Sarah Weston is Craft Victoria’s Retail and Business Development Manager.  She works daily with craftspeople with an eye to making their work look professional, detailed and at its aesthetic best.  She is a social media gun when it comes to visual merchandising and product photography.  She’s part of this day to take a suite of object photographs of your wares to add to your folio.
