Twin clay lighting concepts will happily float in the window of Toast Workroom for the month long festival. Local designer Stephanie Watt plays with her bold minimal aesthetic and devotion to colour in her form play project, Dorkus Design. Here she again explores the manipulation of light to create a new dreamy scene.
Aesthetics aside, accessibility is the significant theme here. This designer and maker lives with Chronic Fatigue, currently experiencing a flare up in her condition. Pro-Prototype is Stephanie’s way of adjusting her practice, re-thinking how she can participate in the local craft community with her diverse capabilities. Space provided for this exhibit by Toast Workroom.
Dorkus Design is a jewellery and form play project, best known for her bold laser cut, hand painted earrings. All pieces are designed and made in Stephanie’s Brunswick studio with a focus on a distinct aesthetic and a dash of offbeat humour. With her Industrial Design background Stephanie enjoys mixing mediums, combining technology with handmade elements.
