For the first time, Blanche Tilden opens her new contemporary jewellery and glass studio to the public.
Located 10 minutes drive from the Heide Museum of Modern Art, Blanche invites visitors to combine a visit to both her open studio, and “Design for Life: Grant and Mary Featherston”, an exhibition at Heide that explores the careers of Grant and Mary Featherston.
Tilden’s recent PhD research and work investigates the practice of arguably Australian most significant modernist designer, Grant Featherston, particularly Featherston’s work with glass.
Open studio visitors will gain a unique insight into Tilden’s highly respected practice, her current research and working methods with glass working demonstrations on the day.
