Learn how to make your own silver ring in this 1 day workshop, with master jeweller and Montsalvat artist in resident Jeanette Dyke. Join our jewellery making classes in the beautiful surrounds of the artist’s colony of Montsalvat in Melbourne. Classes are relaxed and friendly, engaging for talented students and inspiring for beginners. Ideal for complete beginners with no experience necessary, all skills needed will be taught during the class. I will have samples of silver rings to show and inspire you, so you don't even need a design in mind before you come. Everything is supplied including; silver, tools, blades, copper and brass for decoration, emery paper, tea and coffee, super views, all within a creative environment. You don't need to bring a thing! Our venue for the day will be Jeanette's beautiful medieval style studio, with vaulted timber ceiling, leadlight windows, stone spiral staircase and even a minstrel’s gallery. Suitable for 18yrs+ The fee for your 1 day workshop, silver and consumables is $295 per person. Maximum of 5 students per class. Montsalvat has a restaurant on site called The Boulevard, which can be booked for your lunch break (please contact them direct). Or you can bring your own lunch to eat in our stunning 12 acres of established gardens and historic buildings, along with the peacocks and geese for company.
