Includes: All materials, grazing food, organic wine & fair trade tea. Description: In this workshop you will be guided through the process of painting a realistic leaf. Beginning with drawing, you will see a demonstration of how to capture the beautiful shapes, contours and veins on different types of leaves. We will learn skills in observing tonal variation, how to mix the right green and paint the shine of a leaf’s surface using watercolour paint. All levels of experience are welcome.
ABOUT JESSIE ROSE FORD Originally from rural NSW, Jessie Rose Ford is a Melbourne based artist who specialises in watercolour botanical paintings and graphite custom pet portraits. Since completing her bachelor of illustration, she has exhibited in numerous group exhibitions and most recently her solo exhibition, ‘Leaf’, in Melbourne. Jessie’s Tasmanian art residency on Flinders Island led her to receive the Highly Commended Award during the ReFraming Nature exhibition at the Royal Botanical Gardens in 2015.
