The 'unknownuserproject', an Instagram account, first launched at the 2014 Craft Cubed event. This online exhibition project was developed by Oriel Glennen as a way to connect with other makers she followed.........the global community of 'Unknown users'. This years exhibition sees a collaboration between Oriel and New Zealand jeweller, @jaxjewels Jacqueline Jacky Morren. Both makers appear to have many similarities in their approach to their practice and a strong preference for working with Jade. Jacqueline works with New Zealand Greenstone and Oriel with a form of Australian Jade, Nephrite, indigenous to her country of birth, Australia. This exhibition will run over 1 week with each artist having previously mailed 3 objects to each other from their respective environments. The objects will then be used to create jewellery and or/ small sculptural pieces.......resulting in 6 handcrafted items. These individually handcrafted pieces will be posted under the Unknownuser project handle on Instagram, 1 piece per day over a period of 6 days.
