Craft is a creative practice which constantly engages with resourceful, economical and human-centred approaches. With its supplemental nature, craft naturally finds purpose alongside larger scale industries by making use of waste and under-utilised materials to create something new, useful and meaningful. In this conversation series we take a closer look at how some crafts-based social enterprises utilise waste materials as a primary resource in their craft activities and through resourceful ingenuity, address local issues relating to waste and its impact on the environment and local community. The series will include conversations with: Carpet of Life, Morocco, Quazi Design, Swaziland (TBC) Listeners will be able to access additional resources relating to each conversation via our website including transcripts, supporting images and further information about each social enterprise.
