My practise comes from an inherent and persistent need to make, go back to basics. I make my own sense of things through interpreting the worlds shadows, what lies behind.
Through my practice, I reach into myself. and inevitably pull things out that make sense to me. I make my own language of things. My subject is abstract- from memories of things that have no words, just fleeting glimpses I aim to capture. The world is full of Stuff that makes no sense to me, it floods my senses. I make my own sense of things through interpreting the worlds shadows, what lies behind, what lies in the mark making we all can do and also do, everyday. I find peace when I create; my hands, heart and intuition seem to aline. The studio is my meditation space, my place, where the world and my worries are no longer, Making calms me.
