ARTIST STATEMENT
Allusive Lineage is a group of four shapes which is inspired by prehistoric pottery (‘collared’ bottle shapes from 3000 BC) observed in a museum in Denmark. The title refers to the connection I feel to potters before me who have shaped clay and formed pots for use. Pottery conveys information about cultures though we never quite know who were those makers even when their fingerprints show on the surface of an ancient pot.
