2016 marks a renewed commitment by Craft Victoria to encourage and promote excellence and diversity in craft writing. Our inaugural writers’ program has commissioned six writers from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives to produce a critical essay exploring the themes, ideas and outcomes of an exhibition, event or story of interest that is part of our 2016-2017 program.
This program endeavours to enrich and extend craft discussion within the community.
Join us to officially launch the program and discuss the role of craft writing in the age of digital media.
We will officially launch the program with the publication of our second piece of writing,Claire Rosslyn Wilson on collecting, a spoken word performance from program participant Marion Piper and a keynote speaker Madeleine Dore from Extraordinary Routines the topic of how can writers survive and craft writing flourish in the age of free content.
