2019 Victorian Craft Awards

Exquisite objects, jewellery, textiles and furniture by finalists in the 2019 Victorian Craft Awards will be exhibited at Craft Victoria from 19 October to 30 November.

The Victorian Craft Awards celebrate excellence in contemporary craft practice by artisans across Victoria. Winners of the Victorian Craft Awards will be announced on 31 October.

Presenting a cutting-edge vision of craft in the 21st century, the Awards are an important survey of contemporary artistic approaches across a range of media. Showcasing exceptional levels of skill and innovation, the 51 finalists represent the vitality of the flourishing contemporary Victorian craft sector.

The 2019 Victorian Craft Awards exhibition officially opens to the public, presenting some of the most exciting artists working in Australia today.

Monday 21 - Tuesday 22 October
Craft Victoria’s panel of esteemed judges nominate the winners of the 2019 Victorian Craft Award categories.

Thursday 31 October
Craft Victoria announces the 2019 Award category winners at a launch event and celebration held at the La Trobe Ballroom at Sofitel Melbourne on Collins.
The launch event is attended by Creative Victoria, City of Melbourne, artists and Award sponsors.
