Window Walk | Rachel Burke X Milligram
Over the last few years I have been working on a project called Apomogy which has involved collecting the anonymous apologies of strangers from across the world, and attaching their confessions to pom poms.
In 2019, I am now expanding the Apomogy project to include large scale, conceptual, hand made pom poms which (absent of apology notes) simply strives to symbolise the enormous scale of unspoken apologies and regret that exists in the world.
The large pom poms also strive to visually represent and capture the physical weight and look of an apology - with some taking on monstrous appearances and others being more inviting in nature.
My concept for this installation would involve an installation of these large scale pom poms. Some of the smaller, noted pom poms could also be included for context, however the focus would be on the larger scale pom poms.
This contemporary craft installation is hosted by:
Monday to Wednesday 10am - 7pm
Thursday & Friday 10am - 9pm
Saturday & Sunday 10am - 7pm
This event is part of Craft Cubed 2019 Window Walk Project, funded by the City of Melbourne
